History of Nautical Athletic Sports Club of Souda
The Nautical Athletic Sports Club of Souda (Chania Crete Island Greece)
It is an non profit sports club and has been established since 1989 in the sports of rowing and volleyball.
It is one of the liveliest clubs in the Municipality of Souda Chania Crete Island Greece.
Currently has over 120 active athletes. Τhe achievements of the Nautical Athletic Sports Club of Souda are such so to have the group recognized as the first group into Cretan and nationwide level, and has to be highlighted that the Nautical Athletic Sports Club of Souda are one of the most remarkable in Crete, with the potential for further achievements nationwide.
More specifically, concerning the sport of rowing has been achieved:
A first (1st) nationwide victory, nine second(9 2nd) Nationwide victories and nine (9)wins third (3rd)nationwide.
Additionally athletes of the sports club of Souda have participated in Balkan, European and World Rowing Championships, with the colors of the Hellenic National team of Rowing, having a significant presence. Furthermore, the Nautical Athletic Sports Club of Souda has participated in many races between sport clubs of Greece bringing good results.
Turning now to the sport of volleyball by the year 2003, there were no specific achievements.
This year was necessary to remove the activity of the male parts, (lack of robust and facilities) and low coaching hours, with a view to better organizing the women's sections.
The next racing season (2004-2005) the group began starring leading up to the moment to have mastered 5 Pancretian Championships (1 girls, 1 and 3 Junior Pagkorasidon) and 2 Mini Volleyball Championships.
The racing season 2009-2010 the group made the big leap by participating in the National Championship volleyball (Pagkorasidon), winning the fourth position.
Furthermore, the group has participated in many races between sport clubs of Greece bringing good results.
